What your shipment costs depends less on what the goods are than on how dense they are. This is the single most useful thing to understand before asking for a quote.
The rule
You pay for whichever is greater: actual weight or volumetric weight. A truck balances at about 310 kg per cubic metre. Denser than that and the trailer hits its payload limit first, so you are charged by weight. Lighter, and it fills on space, so you are charged by volume.

Cargo needing special handling
- Oversized — flatbed or lowboy plus route permits
- Fragile — glass, ceramics, polished surfaces: corner protection and palletising
- Moisture-sensitive — fabric, paper, electronics: wrapping and loading position
- Dangerous goods — batteries, aerosols, chemicals: documentation and mode limits
- Branded goods — official import only, with rights holder documentation
If your cargo is light and bulky, ask us about repacking before you book. It routinely cuts 20–30% of the volume, and volume is what you are paying for.
