End-to-end launch on US marketplaces

Selling on US marketplaces from Kyrgyzstan is entirely possible. The difficulty is not opening the account but everything behind it: sourcing and vetting a supplier in China, preparing goods to the marketplace standard, shipping to the United States, clearing customs and getting stock into the warehouse. We handle that whole chain, and our US partner runs the account and the marketing.

What changed in 2025 and why it matters

It used to be possible to enter the US market with no customs work at all. A parcel under $800 came in duty-free with no entry filed. That rule was the foundation of direct-from-China selling.

It has been withdrawn — for China and Hong Kong on 2 May 2025, for every other country on 29 August 2025. In June 2026 US Customs made the suspension permanent by regulation, and legislation ends the exemption outright in July 2027.

Every shipment into the United States now requires a formal customs entry with a ten-digit tariff code and payment of duty. The rule applies equally to a one-dollar consignment and a seven-hundred-and-ninety-nine-dollar one. Without an importer holding a US entity, market entry is no longer possible.

For a seller in Bishkek the barrier has risen. An account and a supplier used to be enough; now you also need a US importer, a customs broker and a working knowledge of tariff codes. Assembling that alone is close to impossible.

That is where we come in: our US company acts as the importer. You do not need to register an entity in the States, obtain an EIN or arrange a customs bond.

How it works

The whole chain, step by step, with who is responsible for each part. We do not hide where a contractor or partner does the work — you should understand what makes up the result.

1Supplier sourcing and inspectionKITAY.KGWe find a manufacturer for your product and verify its legal standing and production. Our inspector visits the factory and records photos and video before you transfer any money.
2PurchaseKITAY.KGWe pay the supplier in our own name and control lead times and batch quality. You do not need an account for settlements with China.
3Marketplace preparationPartner warehouse in ShenzhenLabelling, FNSKU stickers, polybagging, bundling. This is the step where shipments are most often rejected — if the marking is wrong, the warehouse will not accept them.
4Freight to the United StatesKITAY.KGBy sea or air depending on urgency and volume. We price it before dispatch so you can build it into your unit economics.
5US customs clearanceSupChain Express IncOur American company acts as Importer of Record: formal entry, HTS classification, duty payment. This is the link a seller in Kyrgyzstan cannot close alone.

What you will not have to do

  • Register a company in the US and obtain an EIN.
  • Find a customs broker and arrange a bond.
  • Learn HTS codes and calculate duty yourself.
  • Fly to China and negotiate with the factory directly.
  • Source an inspector, a forwarder, a broker and a marketer separately.

How the marketplaces differ

Amazon

The most demanding platform logistically. Goods travel into Amazon warehouses under FBA, with their labelling and a booked delivery slot. A labelling or paperwork error gets the shipment turned away. In return the platform stores, ships and handles returns for you.

Etsy and Shopify

Simpler logistically: stock sits in your own warehouse or with a contractor and ships as orders come in. No labelling requirements. But storage and dispatch are on you, not the platform.

TikTok Shop

Works either way. The real difficulty is speed: sales spike on a video that lands, and stock has to be in the warehouse beforehand or the spike is wasted.

What you will need in the United States

To sell on a US marketplace as a brand rather than an anonymous seller, you need infrastructure. Our partner builds it, and the prices are known up front — here are the main ones.

US company registration including EIN$799
Payment account: Payoneer, Stripe, PayPal$3,000
US trademark registration, one class$1,000
Amazon Seller account registration$800
TikTok Shop business accountfrom $800
Company landing pagefrom $900
Bookkeepingfrom $150

These are our partner's prices, current as of mid-2026. The full catalogue — including bookkeeping, sales tax registration and resale certificates — is available on request. Freight, inspection and customs are quoted separately: that is our side.

What you need and what you do not

You do not need a US company to import — we act as Importer of Record. That works immediately, with no registrations and no waiting.

You will need one if you are building a brand. Without your own entity there is no trademark, and without a trademark there is no Amazon Brand Registry — which means no listing protection against resellers and none of the associated marketing tools. So the usual path is a trial shipment through our import first, then company and trademark registration once the product has proved demand.

Who this suits, and who it does not yet

We will be straight with you so you do not waste time. Promotion is handled by our partner, and they work with brands that have proven demand and a budget to scale — not with people who want to try something out.

If you are at the beginning, start with our side: supplier sourcing, a trial shipment, import through our entity. It is inexpensive and answers the only question that matters at that stage — does the product sell. Once the numbers come in, we bring the partner in and build the brand.

How pricing works

Two separate budgets, and we deliberately keep them apart.

Logistics, inspection and customs are priced on the cargo: weight, volume, goods category, shipping method. That is our side, and it can be estimated up front.

Account launch and promotion are quoted separately by our partner, based on the platform, the niche and the scope of work.

That way you can see what you pay for at each stage, and take logistics alone if you already run the account yourself.

Where to start

Tell us what you want to sell and on which platform. If the product is not chosen yet, that is fine too — we will help with sourcing. We will then vet the supplier, price the freight and customs, and give you a figure you can build your economics on.

Frequently asked questions

Can I sell on Amazon while based in Kyrgyzstan?

Yes. The constraint is not where you live but logistics and customs: the goods have to physically reach an Amazon warehouse in the United States and clear customs. We cover both.

Do I need to open a company in the United States?

No. Our US entity, SupChain Express Inc, acts as Importer of Record with its own EIN. You need neither a US company nor a customs bond.

What changed with customs on parcels into the US?

Until 2025 parcels under $800 entered duty-free with no formal entry. That exemption has been suspended: every shipment now requires a formal customs entry with an HTS code, whatever its value. Without an importer, market entry is no longer possible.

Who applies the Amazon labels?

Our partner warehouse in Shenzhen. It prepares goods to marketplace requirements before dispatch, so shipments are not rejected at receiving.

What does it cost?

Two separate budgets. Logistics, inspection and customs are priced on the cargo. Account launch and promotion are quoted separately by our partner. We keep the two apart so you can see what you are paying for.

Which marketplaces do you work with?

All the US ones: Amazon, Etsy, Shopify, TikTok Shop, Walmart. The logistics differ: Amazon requires delivery into its own warehouses under its rules, the others ship from your stock.
